I have listened to hundreds of podcasts, many of them audio dramas, and this one is on the top of the list. This will always be my recommendation to people looking to get into podcasts that aren’t just “people talking”. Masterful story writing and engaging characters from jump. thanks!!!!

All the feelings!
I get more attached with every episode. The cast are fantastic, the characters are all the people I’ve always wanted to be. When Ava said “1972 Buick Skylark”…well, I could have died happy. If you know, you know. Thanks guys. Please come find me.

Everything and more
This podcast is exactly what I’ve been searching for since my first podcast that got me obsessed with podcasts. Complex story lines, amazing and complicated characters. Written in a way that feels like you’re listening to real people with real problems but really they’re in a inter dimensional diner lol it’s just awesome you won’t regret listening and if you do you’re the problem lol

One of the best out there
I have listened to a truly excessive amount of scripted podcasts and this is hands down one of the best. It is funny, cozy, poignant, exciting, thoughtful… somehow it balances all of these feelings with extreme finesse. It takes the best of the sci fi genre and brings it to the next level! Excellent plot, quality voice acting, wonderful character development. I could go on and on, just give it a listen!

Best Podcast Ever
One of the first podcast I had to binge when I found it. Now I compare all others to. Great story, great characters that you come to love, fantastic actors & sound design. Just on another level.

Comfy Booth, Good Times
The wonderful cast and the amazing community that have sprung up around this amazing podcast keep me enthralled - not entertained, mind you, ENTHRALLED - with every episode. Shift Notes becomes a lovely additive if you choose to support this worthy endeavor, and the side stories with Young Leif and the Horizon Hotel are the side stories that show the immense depth of this podcast. Joe (the writer) found the most amazing people to bring this to life. Here’s a fun drinking game for the first couple seasons: finish your beer if Ian is doing another voice!

Best fiction podcast

Best Podcast I’ve ever listened to
There are only a handful of podcasts I find worthy of listening to and this show tops them all! Incredible concept with a truly outstanding cast. When I listen to this podcast I am completely immersed in the story and feel like I’m there in the diner traveling through space and time with the crew. I would give 10 ⭐️ if I could.

What a show!
I LOVE every episode! When they end, I get sad but excited because I know a new one is coming! The characters and the storyline is so intriguing and entertaining! I recommend this to everyone!

Favorite Audio drama out there
This show is so many things to me: a place to be safe, a place to escape when things get hard, a story that shows us both the best and worst parts of humanity in equal parts…. It is a beautiful piece of art made by passionate artists, writers, actors and voice talents who really dedicate their energy and passion to the material to make it come alive for the audience. I have been devouring everything I can from these creators, from their miniseries in the show to their deep-dive subscribers only podcasts “Shift Notes.” And personally, that has made my experience with the show that much richer! Bravo, Midnight Burger ❤️ I’m out here, somewhere - Looking for ya. And I will always be there when the doors open, at 6 ❤️

Fantastic.
The writing and story telling is fantastic!!! It hit me like a ton of bricks. Every season the cast gels more, the writing and story telling gets better. I love all the science, engineering, theoretical physics……. Season 3 was exceptionally good. I listen to this podcast to make my life better during boring life draining monotonous tasks like making dinner, dishes, yard work blah blah you know the tasks.
The story arc is amazing you get to season 3 and it’s sooo good, I cannot express how much I enjoyed season 3. Keep it coming guys. Leif is my favorite, keep blowing Sh…. UP.

Pure joy
When I’m having a rough day, I replay one of the episodes. I dare you not to fall in love with these characters. It is impossible! The cast is great and the writing soooooooooo good. Yes. An English major just wrote this inarticulate mess. Ignore that and listen!

Amazing
I’ve listened to this at work over the past week. It’s a great story that gets you sucked into it. The writing is good, and good voice acting. The background effects are superb. In every episode there’s a storyline that related to the entirety, but in its own stands well.
I do however think the buffed the muckleberry’s as they seem to have less control in the recent episodes than when first introduced.

this show gets me every time!! i just wrapped up season 1 and i am baffled by how every episode is goofy and delightful but also makes me literally cry every time

Def would recommend
I love this podcast and can’t wait for each episode to come out. Definitely would recommend. My only complaint is with Episode 35. Was there a contest to see how many F bombs and other swears could be used??? It really detracted from the story and I had to turn it off because it was NSFW. Hoping to get some free time to come back to it. And hoping that this is not foreshadowing for future episodes.

Joy, Emotions, and laughter
This is hands down one of the best audio dramas I have had the pleasure of hearing. It’s also one of the best stories I have heard in a long time and I enjoy it so much.

One of my favorite pieces of media
Midnight Burger is hands down one my favorite podcasts! If you want a story with amazing characters, found family aspects, and wacky adventures through time and space you should give it a chance! The creators have been able to make me fall in love with the entire main cast (and many of the side characters). I find myself consistently re-listening to this podcast as I wait for more episode to come out. Definitely a comfort show for me!
