Love this show!
It’s such a rare thing to find a show where you love every single character but Midnight burger is one such show for me. Great job guys! Thank you for turning my boring commutes into a fantastic journey through time and space.
So good!
A “Goldilocks” podcast - everything is just right. Great Characters, imaginative plotlines, unpredictable but consistent and good science. Love it, thanks guys.
So this is podcast...It's warm and nice and you can hold it in your ears sometimes.
Sometimes, when life is insane - makes no sense and everything seems to be against you - you might just need a cup of joe at a dimension-hopping, time-traveling diner. This narrative show is therapy for the soul, with characters who are both impossible and relatable simultaneously. The cast and crew of this show prove what's possible with modern narrative fiction. This show CANNOT be missed. They open at 6.
Amazing Audio Drama
Midnight Burger is written by people who care about the message they send. While incredibly funny, and really great Sci-Fi, the podcast also delves into some real world issues really well. An example: in one episode of “Welcome to the Horizon”, a character asks why a certain alien race is so hated throughout the galaxy, asking ‘what they did wrong’. The alien’s Artificial Intelligence asks if the person knows about the Black Exclusion Law, a law passed after the Civil War in Oregon, prohibiting those of African decent to live in the state. The person says yes, and the AI simply responds: “well, what did they do wrong?” It’s one of the best, simplest, most powerful ways of communicating a powerful, meaning point I’ve ever seen, and I applaud it. Thank you Midnight Burger, Young Leif, and Welcome to the Horizon, you are amazing, and you get better every season, like jumping a shark backwards.
So good
Immediately started over when i caught up. So so so good
Thank you
This podcast has literally saved my sanity. In a world that’s become painfully unkind and divided, Midnight Burger makes the knot in my stomach unwind. I can genuinely love not only its characters, but the people who play them. I am truly honored to be a resident of Hood’s Pocket. That rabid pine martin in my house was a real surprise for me!!! Sometimes, when life gets too harsh, this old RN remembers that in another timeline I am part of Midnight Burger - and I find peace in that.
Podcast gold!
I stumbled upon this podcast while searching for audio dramas (commute guilty pleasure) and holy cow, what a surprise! I’ve snort laughed almost every episode. It’s so unique and clever!
Remarkable fiction podcast
Absolutely one of the kings of the audio drama scene. It’s up there with Old Gods of Appalachia, The Magnus Archives & The White Vault in terms of quality and story telling. They do everything exceptionally well. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen if you haven’t yet, you will almost assuredly be blown away.
So good
So good, just go listen
Leif is my favourite
Still want to know the lore behind the Ted killer
The editing needs attention
I wish I could give it five stars. The script and acting are first rate. However, the editing is a mess. Too often half a scene will randomly repeat itself. I assume the editors failed to clean up outtakes.
Exceptional
I have no idea how this isn’t the Number 1 podcast on every single platform imaginable. Alas, I am honored my ears get to listen to it. One of a kind brilliance.
Love this podcast!
I’m currently listening to it again. Midnight Burger is the best. I’m hooked.
One of the best shows out there!
Seriously, science nerds and lovers of comedy and found family drama, unite! It’s smart and funny and it makes you want to feed someone and tell them about Dyson spheres. They open at six.
Omg it’s a Tardis…
Listened avidly, burned through two seasons before I realized why this show captured my heart so quickly: the diner is basically a Tardis. But even better: there’s no one amazing Doctor and companions, it’s an incredible ensemble cast. The research and creativity that goes into the writing is so obvious and engaging - I love it. Cannot wait for the next season, I might go back and relisten to everything in the meantime.
A podcast looking for you !
My highest recommendation! Thanks to Joe Fisher for creating a deep story with lots to think about!
I’ve listened ten times over
I started listening to this at bedtime, which meant I missed a lot of episodes, but it served its purpose so I left it at that. One night though, an episode really caught my attention, so I became determined to actually listen to each episode completely. I have now listened to the entire show ten times over, and just can’t stop listening. Like other reviewers pointed out, each time I listen, I get caught up in a new storyline, or pick up on things I missed. Season four was off the charts good; definitely worth a listen!
An American Dane reviews
This is both the best and worst podcast I’ve ever supported, Joe clearly adds some kind of subliminal audio that makes all other podcasts disappear, also some how the writing will make you both laugh and cry AT ONCE, it is an unkindness. I CANNOT describe how wonderful this podcast is, but just imagine the best meal you’ve ever had, and then shove it in your ears, and that’s Midnight Dinner, look just put this podcast “in your BODDY!” Please 19 more seasons and 4 movies at least.
WOW
Never been this sucked into a series! Absolutely addicted!!!
Amazing
I like it funny and so interesting 🧐 ❤️
Five stars is not enough
If there were a secret six star rating you could use exactly once, I would use it for Midnight Burger. I have other podcasts I like, but nothing comes close.
Yes
I can listen to this show over and over and get a new layer/experience every time.
My favorite podcast
I love this so much. The cast is amazing. Joe, I never know what you’re gonna come up with. You’re always keeping me on my toes. Thanks 🥰
Love y’all
The amount this podcast means to me is difficult to put into words. Thank you for creating this world that is superior sci fi yet so grounded in relationships between people. I learn something about myself and how to treat people every episode. Sure know how to make a guy tear up. THANK YOU!
